…Reasons why my childhood is over. I used to know 1515 Broadway as an iconic place — where MTV shot the best music video countdown show ever: “TRL.” Of course, TRL ended. But while I was walking through Times Square yesterday, my heart broke when I saw that MTV gave the space to… Aeropostale. The stage where Britney, Eminem, the Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, blink-182 and so many other artists got their start is now littered with pre-teens trying to buy less-than-quality clothing. I remember watching after-school everyday seeing Times Square flooded with people trying to catch a glimpse of whoever was on the show. I always wanted to go just to see what it was like, but I never had the chance. And now I never will. Thanks MTV. For ending my childhood dreams. Forgot to tweet it yesterday when I was walking in Times Square. Too much shock.
